The 8th Workshop “Complex Geometry and Lie Groups”

Greetings

Osaka University Nakanoshima Center

Osaka University Nakanoshima Center

The workshop focuses on research fields in Complex Geometry and Several Complex Variables which have interplay with Lie group and homogeneous space theory. For instance, Cartan Geometry, which places a Lie group and a homogeneous space as a core space, is becoming a standard framework for the study of geometry and analysis of manifolds. The automorphism group of a manifold with a certain geometric structure is, in many cases, a Lie group, reflecting the basic properties of the manifold.
A certain Lie group or homogeneous space itself is often a model space for the study of non-Kähler or generalized complex geometric structures, e.g., extended Hodge theory, generalized complex structures, hyper-Kähler structures, CR structures and so on.

We are inviting and welcoming researchers also in other related fields, expecting an exchange with them of technical knowledges, and stimulating each other for the development of research works.

We are welcoming young researchers who have interest in this area of study. We endeavor to facilitate their participation in our workshop by providing financial supports for a part of their travel expenses. Please find the link “Mathematics Research Foundation” for information.

This workshop is the eighth in a series of international exchange study in this research field, starting in 2007, and being held every two years. We still hold homepages of the past few workshops; please find them in the link “Workshop Archives” on this home page.

We, all the organizers, cordially look forward to seeing you at the workshop site in Osaka, Japan in March 2025.
